The majority of my career has focused on Internet related technologies and the management of Internet software companies.  The past few years I have taken some time away to pursue two personal projects.  The RegainAmerica project is being designed as a community collaborative authoring and coordination environment.  I have also established Jade Connections as a trading and consulting company.  The tradiing side of the business focues on the trade of small consumer electronics and networking equipment with China.

Network Architecture and Design

Complete network, datacenter, and Internet application design and integration.  Areas of specilization include Electronic Mail, Directory Services (including DIrectory Enabled Applications), Firewall / IDS Systems, VoIP, Web Services, Instant Messaging, and Social System design.
 

Voice Over IP - Internet Telephony

IP PBX design and hosting, migration planning, VoIP equipment sales and sourcing.
 

Software Development

Network design and implimentation from the network / application protocol level to application level.  Experienced in managing groups of engineers designing and coding complex network protocols and applications.
 

Business and Technical Writing

Complete English language writing and copy editing services in the following areas: business plans, marketing and sales documentation, technical writing (manuals, release notes, etc), and educational applications.  Can also provide off-site environment for intensive time critical projects.
 

Web Design

I Provide complete solutions for most applications.  Typical sites I develop use the Drupal CMS as a core component, but also integrate other open source solutions (phpBB is one example).  Knowledgable in Drupal core and templating as well as most standard web standards (DOM, XHTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, etc).  I work with outside consultants or design houses for technologies I do not have the direct ability to support, such as Flash / Flex and Java implementations.
 

China Trade

Are you looking to establish trading relationships with companies in China but concerned about cultural, quality, and distance related issues?  You might want to consider a trip to Shenzhen where I can host and introduce you to the region, factories, how products are designed and manufactured (the one product times 300 factory issue), and how to deal with it all.  I have existing relations with many local factories and also work with local English speaking people to provide a complete introduction to working with China business.
